(1) POPULATION.
The Registrar-General's estimate of resident population
for the mid-year 1935, viz., 23,140, represents an
increase of 90 persons since last year. The population, as
ascertained by the 1931 Census, was 23,369.
(2) BIRTHS.
The births registered in the District in 1935 numbered
298, giving a birth rate of 12.87 per 1,000 of the
population.
The births were made up as follows:—

The birth rate in Teddington during the year 1935
shows a decrease compared with the previous year.
The number of illegitimate births has varied very little
during the past ten years.
