FOOD SUPPLY.
The various premises in the district where food is prepared
for sale- which includes slaughter houses, cooked and
preserved meat factories, eating houses and bakehouseshave
all been carefully inspected during the year.
The carcases of animals killed for food in the local
slaughter houses are of good quality, but most of the meat
consumed in the district is bought at the London meat
markets.
The Sanitary Inspector makes a point of visiting
slaughter houses when in use and inspecting all the
carcases killed in the district.
