INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
When a case of infectious disease is notified the house is
visited forthwith.
As there is no isolation hospital in the district the
majority of the cases are nursed at home, and in some
instances a nurse is provided at the Council's expense.
When it is necessary for a case to go to hospital it is
sent to Tolworth or Molesey Isolation Hospital. Some
cases go to the London Fever Hospital at the patient's own
expense. Forty-six were sent to hospital during the year.

The following table shews the case rate of certain infectious diseases notified in Teddington and that for England and Wales for the year 1925 and four preceding years: —

Measles, Whooping Cough and Mumps are not notifiable,
but we are kept informed of their occurrence by the
head teachers of the elementary schools.
The sanitary arrangements at the schools are examined
monthly. The water supplies are all obtained from the
M.W.B. 15
