Result of Service of Notices
(1) Legal Proceedings.
A defendant was fined £25 and ordered to pay £7 costs for
failing to comply with a Nuisance Order made under the provisions
of section 94 of the Public Health Act, 1936.
(2) Nuisances abated and defects remedied.
Six thousand three hundred and thirty-five defects were remedied
as a result of the service of verbal, written and statutory notices. 2,002
were in connection with the drainage of buildings; 3,277 in and
around dwelling houses; 908 in connection with food premises; and
148 were of a miscellaneous nature.
