ANCILLARY SERVICES
1. Nursery Schools/Classes
There were 762 children attending the nursery schools and nursery
classes at infants' schools during the year.
2. Provision of Milk and Meals
The following table gives details of milk and meals supplied together with the percentage of pupils partaking, compared with 1971:—

* These are pupils up to the age of seven years attending primary schools
who were entitled to, and received, free milk. A further 121 pupils were
entitled to free milk but did not partake of it.
The figure of 6,367 pupils includes 485 pupils in primary and middle
schools over the age of seven years who were receiving free milk on health
grounds.
