Compared with 1970, there were 403 fewer cases of communicable
disease notified by schools as a result of which children were
excluded.
Diptheria
There were no notified cases. A teacher at a primary school was
found to have been in contact with a case in another Borough and was
excluded from school pending investigation. Results were negative.
