3. Protection of School Children against Tuberculosis.
B.C.G. Vaccination.
Owing to various immunisation procedures given prior to school
cruises, also the introduction of rubella vaccination of girls, it was not
possible to carry out the usual autumn programme of B.C.G. vaccination
of 13-year-old children in the schools. This will be reflected in
the figures for 1971 as two age groups will then be included. The
only children given B.C.G. vaccination during 1970 were 211 absentees
from the previous year.
