GENERAL MEDICAL SERVICES
During the year the medical staff carried out 1,263 medical
examinations of staff for superannuation purposes. Seventeen examinations
were also carried out on staff, absent from work owing to
sickness, to ascertain their fitness to return to duty.
NATIONAL ASSISTANCE ACTS
During the year two cases were removed to hospital by Orders
made under the National Assistance Acts. In neither case was it
necessary to apply for an extension of the Order.
