RESULT OF SERVICE OF NOTICES
(1) Legal Proceedings.
Proceedings were instituted against the owners of a dwelling
house for failing to comply with the requirements of Abatement
Notices (Public Health Act, 1936: Section 93). The Notices were
complied with after the summonses had been issued. Application was
made to the Court for costs and a total of £15 15 s. was granted.
(2) Nuisances abated and Defects remedied.
As the result of the service of verbal, written and Statutory
Notices, 2,454 defects were remedied. 711 were in connection with
the drainage of buildings; 948 in and around dwelling houses; 759 in
connection with food premises and 36 were of a miscellaneous nature.
