£394 16s. 8d.
The Committee keeps a stock of bedding and other necessities for
loan to needy patients and also assists patients and their relatives with cash
grants and loans. Once again during the year considerable financial
support was afforded to the holiday scheme for patients and child contacts.
I am indebted to the Honorary Secretary for supplying me with the
information which has enabled me to express this small appreciation of
the very valuable work carried out by the Committee.
MASS RADIOGRAPHY SERVICE
A "general public" survey, held in two parts, was organised during
the year in the Morden area of the district. During the first part of the
survey the Mass Radiography Unit was sited at the Central Library in

During the second part of the survey, which commenced on 10th September,
the Unit was sited at four advantageous and selective points
throughout the district.
In addition to the booked groups and-general public surveys carried
out during the year, the Unit has continued with the general practitioner

I am indebted to Dr. F. J. H. Walters, Medical Director of the Mass Radiography Service, for the following information relating to the persons X-rayed by the Unit in this area during the year:—
