INSTITUTIONAL AND DOMICILIARY BIRTHS
An analysis of the birth notifications received during 1954
shows that 638 of the 810 births occurred in hospitals, institutions
and nursing homes. This represents 84% of the total,
and is the same as the figure for 1953. Table II, set out on
page 13 shows the trend since 1935.
The distribution of institutional births is given below:—
