MATERNAL MORTALITY.
There were no maternal deaths in the area during the
year under review, thus giving us five years out of the past
seven with a nil mortality. There has in fact been only one
maternal death in the district in the last five years.
The usual table is reproduced below, giving a comparison
of the maternal death rates of the country as a whole, for the
past 20 years, with those of the Urban District.
