Of these 161, 126 were primary notifications, 33 were transferred
from other districts, and 2 came to notice in other ways.
During the year 106 persons were removed from the register
for the following reasons:—
Recovered 18
Removed from the district 65
Death 23
After allowing for the additions and deductions, the number
remaining on the register at the 31st December, 1951, was
distributed as shown in the following table:—
