The Act provides for the keeping of records of filling materials
received and used and also for the sampling for cleanliness tests
of the many and varied substances covered by the Act. No
samples were taken during November or December, 1951,
although arrangements were made for such sampling in 1952, in
view of the world-wide sale of articles by the local toy-makers.
I would like to express my gratitude for the support of the
Chairman and members of the Public Health Committee and
the encouragement of the Medical Officer of Health during a
time when the sanitary administration of the district was
difficult, and to record my thanks to the District Inspectors who
worked so diligently pending the filling of the two vacant posts.
I am, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
W. T. PINCHES,
Chief Sanitary Inspector.
August, 1952.
