ANNUAL REPORTS
At the request of the Ministry of Health, on grounds
of national security, Medical Officers of Health have been asked
not to publish tables of local populations or quotations from
the Registrar General's figures, which would enable any
substantial series of local populations to be reconstructed.
As it is possible to reconstruct population figures
from a variety of vital statistics, it has been thought wise to
issue these reports as confidential documents only, and to conform
as far as possible with the Minister's request.
