Of these 148, 95 were primary notifications, 46 were transferred
from other districts and 7 came to notice in other ways.
During the year, 107 persons were removed from the
Register for the following reasons:—
Recovered 12
Removal from the district 41
Death 54
After allowing for the additions and deductions, the
number remaining on the Register at the 31st December, 1938,
was 558, distributed as shown in the following table which
also gives the incidence of registered tuberculosis at
mid-year:—
