The following rainfall was recorded at the Council's Pumping Station in Buckhurst Avenue.

The water flow over the weir on the head of the River Wandle in
the grounds of the Grove was as follows:—
Spring Flow during the year (Jan.—Dec. 1960) = 938 million gallons.
Maximum Spring Flow 8.7 million gallons per day during the week
ending 28th December, 1960.
Minimum Spring Flow 0.405 million gallons per day during the
week ending 20th January, 1960.
