Milk Supply
Carshalton is a Specified Area for the purposes of the Milk (Special
Designations) (Specified Areas) Order, 1951 and hence all milks sold in the
district must be "Designated" milk. As a result of the Ministry of Agriculture's
Scheme for the eradication of tuberculosis in cattle, Surrey is now
an Attested Area and the herds are presumptively free from tuberculosis.

Bacteriological Examination of Milk.
One hundred and eighty-six samples of milk were procured and
submitted for bacteriological examination.
All the milks were sold under the Milk (Special Designations) Regulations
and none failed to comply with the prescribed Regulations.
