includes the anti-biotics and the sulpha drugs. In consequence, restrictions,
both on cases and contacts, have justifiably been considerably relaxed
though precautions are still of value in limiting the spread of this infection.
Of the 59 cases 35 were nursed at home. Such is the decreasing
importance attached to this illness that when several of these cases were
visited the patient was found to have the freedom of the house and no
attempt at isolation was being made.
