Nine samples analysed by the Public Analyst conformed to the
statutory standard.
Ice Cream (Heat-treatment, etc.) Regulations, 1947-1952.
There are no manufacturers of Ice Cream in the district, all the registered
retailers drawing their supplies from reputed manufacturers outside
the district.
All retailers are provided with refrigerator cabinets which maintain a
temperature well below 28 °F. in accordance with the regulations.
Meat
Inspection of meat is limited to that stored or exposed for sale since
there are no slaughterhouses in the district and all meat sold by retail is
brought into the area from depots outside.
The quantity of meat seized or suspected as unfit for human consumption
was 4,998 lbs. 3 ozs.
