New Houses
During the year 33 new dwellings were completed all in private ownership.
The following buildings were in course of erection at the end of the
year :

The number of requisitioned premises at the 31st December, 1956 was
65 providing accommodation for 110 families. This is 25 less properties
under requisition than at 12 months earlier.
The outstanding approved applications for tenancies at the year end
totalled 1,126, which was 111 less than a year before.
