Tuberculosis
The new cases admitted to the tuberculosis register during the year numbered 67, classified as follows :

Of the total additions, 36 were primary notifications, and 31 were
transferred from other districts.
In the same period, 104 names were removed from the register for the

at the 31st December, 1955, was as shown in the following table :

The total of 857 is 37 less than at the corresponding date twelve months
earlier.
The number of patients from Carshalton who received institutional
