Milk Supply
The district is a Specified Area for purposes of the Milk (Special
Designations) (Specified Areas) Order, 1951. In consequence all milk
sold by retailer must be "designated milk" and all retailers must be
licensed to use a special designation in relation to milk.
Milk Distributors.
The number of Milk Distributors registered is 22. Designated licences issued during the year were as follows:

Bacteriological Examination of Milk
Two hundred and twenty-four samples of milk were procured and
submitted for bacteriological examination. Six failed to comply with
the prescribed Regulations.
