Vermin Control
Persons
The Council maintain a Cleansing Station in adapted premises in
Rochester Road for the treatment of verminous persons and their
personal clothing. This is equipped with baths and a Thresh Steam
Disinfector. A trained nurse is in attendance to deal with women and
children and a male operator for the men.
Instances of infestation are followed up by the nurse by visits to
the home where arrangements are made to deal with the family as a
unit.
Financial arrangements exist with the Education Authority in
respect of the treatment of schoolchildren.
