Disinfection
In connection with cases of infectious disease, 177 rooms and 320
library books were disinfected. Seventeen lots of bedding were sterilised
and ti lots destroyed.
Vermin Control
Persons.
The Council provide facilities in adapted premises at Rochester
Road for the cleansing of verminous persons and their personal clothing.
The Station is equipped with baths and a Thresh Steam Disinfector.
A trained nurse is in attendance to deal with women and children and
a male attendant for men.
Instances of infestation are followed up in the home as this is
invariably a domestic problem affecting the family as a whole and it is
useless to deal with individuals without careful investigation and
attention to the remainder of the household.
Financial arrangements exist with the Education Authority in
respect of the treatment of schoolchildren.
