Scarlet Fever.
This endemic infection was less prevalent, the number of notified
cases falling to 109 from 151 in the year before. Of the total, 100 were
residents of the district. The incidence rates were accordingly :
All cases 1.76 per thousand population.
Residents 1.62 per thousand population.
As for many years past, the illness was in a mild form and there
were no deaths.
Thirty-six, representing 33% of the total cases were nursed at home.
