"carriers" the infection lay in the nose only, whilst the seventh
had positive nose and throat swabs. They were all isolated for
varying periods, 6 of them in hospital, and no further cases occurred.
Diphtheria Immunisation.
The number of persons immunised under the Council's scheme
is shown in the tables which follow. The number who took
advantage of the public facilities for preventive inoculation was
rather less than in the year before. Nevertheless a total of 609
children were immunised.
