The Slaughter of Animals Acts, 1933.—Three persons were
licensed to act as slaughtermen and every step was taken to
ensure that all animals slaughtered in the District were
slaughtered in accordance with the Act.
Ice Cream.—There are 64 premises carrying on ice-cream
businesses but only three actually manufacture ice cream.
All premises and vehicles were periodically inspected.
Bakehouses.—There are now five bakehouses in the District.
All were visited on several occasions and found to have complied
with the requirements in respect of periodical cleansing and
whitewashing.
