Meat and Other Foods.
Most of the meat supplied to the district comes from the London
and Croydon markets where it has already been inspected. Only
one slaughterhouse, a registered one, is used in the district. There
are 36 purveyors of meat with shops and several hawkers with
vans from other districts.
Regular visits of inspection are made to all premises and vehicles
where food is stored, prepared or sold for human consumption.
