Toddler Clinics.
The following tables give an analysis of the defects found at the
toddler examinations and the number dealt with in the three age
groups. It will be observed that out of 661 children of ages 2 to 5
years examined, defects were found in 482 (72 per cent.). The
number of individual defects found in these 482 children was 995,
of which 476 required treatment and 519 observation for the time
being. This represents 2.07 defects per child.
With regard to the following up of these conditions, it is satisfactory
to report that of the 476 conditions recommended for treatment,
only 43 failed to receive attention.
