The Infant Welfare clinics again experienced a very busy year.
The number of children who attended, and the total attendances
they made constitute fresh records. Babies under one year
coming for the first time represented 78 per cent of the births
notified during the year, demonstrating that a very high proportion
of the babies born in the district come under the care of the welfare
centres.
The attendances at the centres are shown in Tables 12 and 13.
