The school notices also give information of the prevalence of non-notifiable
infectious disease, such as chicken-pox, mumps,etc. The numbers were as
follows:-
Chicken pox 261
Mumps 201
Ringworm -

Influenza 1
Glandular fever 1
CANCER
The number of deaths from cancer registered during the year decreased
slightly to 145, of which 90 were males and 55 females. This compares with
147 in 1963.
The trend for England and Wales is continuing upwards.
