SANITARY CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE AREA
WATER SUPPLY
Except for eight houses in Goat Road, supplied by the Sutton Water Company
the whole of Mitcham is supplied by the Metropolitan Water Board. A few
factories have an additional supply from deep wells.

altogether a total of 23 caravans.
The standard of purity of the water was maintained at the usual high

A large number of houses in the Borough have no supply of drinking water
direot from the main, but are supplied from a tank in the roof. Provided the
tank is properly covered and is cleansed regularly, it provides a satisfactory
supply.

Seven samples from the Alfred Mizen school swimming baths and 18 from
the Corporation baths were sent for bacteriological examination during the year
All were satisfactory.
