Warning letters were sent to the firms concerned.
Ice-Cream
Two establishments in the Borough are registered for the manufacture
of ice-cream and 179 for the storage and sale of ice-cream.
Fifty-two visits were paid during the year.

Ten samples of ice-cream were taken and examined for bacteriological purity. The results are tabulated below:—

Bacteriological Examination of Cups and Glasses

Seventy-five swabs were taken from tea cups at various catering establishments and 13 swabs were taken from beer glasses at various public houses during the year, and were submitted to the Public Health Laboratory for bacteriological examination. The results are tabulated below:—
