LEGAL PROCEEDINGS
Public Health Act, 1936.—Summonses were issued against the
occupiers of two caravans in Bath Road in respect of non-compliance
with notices served for the abatement of a statutory nuisance. One
caravan was removed before service of the summons and at the
Hearing on October 16th, 1957, the Court made an Order against the
occupier of the second caravan for the abatement of the nuisance
within 28 days and for the payment of £2 2s. costs.
Petroleum (Regulation) Acts, 1928 and 1936, and Petroleum
(Mixtures) Order, 1929.—100 licences to store petroleum spirit and/
or petroleum mixtures were issued for a total of 220,174 gallons
(inclusive of cellulose solutions).
Petroleum (Regulation) Acts, 1928 and 1936, and Petroleum
(Carbide of Calcium) Order, 1929.—Two licences were issued for
the storage of 1,224 lbs. of carbide of calcium.
