Five infants failed to survive the first month of life, giving
Mitcham a neo-natal mortality rate of 5.7 per 1,000 related live births
as compared with 16.5 for England and Wales.
Maternal Mortality

Inquests
Inquests were held on 15 residents dying within the district and
on 7 Mitcham residents who died outside the district, a total of 22.
