MILK (SPECIAL DESIGNATION) (RAW MILK) REGULATIONS,
1949 AND 1950.
During the year the Council granted the following number
of licences under the above-named Regulations:-
Dealer's Licences (Tuberculin Tested) 18
Supplementary Licences (Tuberculin Tested) 17
One hundred and thirty-three samples of Graded Milk were
submitted for bacteriological examination. One hundred and
thirty-one samples were satisfactory and two were unsatisfactory.
Communications were sent to the dairies regarding the unsatisfactory
samples.
BAKEHOUSES
The number of bakehouses in the district is 13.
Forty-four visits have been paid.
DAIRIES
There is one registered dairy and pasteurising establishment
within the district.
During the year 26 visits of inspection were paid.
SLAUGHTERHOUSES
There are two registered slaughterhouses in the Borough; 66
visits have been paid.
