MILK (SPECIAL DESIGNATION) REGULATIONS, 1936-46.
During the year the Council granted the following number of licences under the above-named Order:—

One hundred and thirty-five samples of Graded Milk were
submitted for bacteriological examination. One hundred and
twenty-nine samples were satisfactory and six were unsatisfactory.
Communications were sent to the dairies regarding the
unsatisfactory samples.
BAKEHOUSES
The number of bakehouses in the district is 10.
Forty-six visits have been paid.
DAIRIES
There are 10 registered premises within the district. With
the exception at one pasteurising establishment, milk is now
being supplied by the wholesalers to the dairymen in sealed
bottles.
During the year 179 visits of inspection were paid.
