The number of birthday greetings sent in 1945 was 945.
Four hundred and sixty-three mothers took advantage of this
offer.
Typhoid Fever
One case was notified during the year.
Diarrhoea and Enteritis Under Two Years of Age
Two deaths were registered during the year.
Encephalitis Lethargica
No case was notified during the year.
Erysipelas
Sixteen cases were notified. Five cases were removed to
hospital.
Puerperal Pyrexia
Eight cases were notified during the year.
Pneumonia
Thirty-three cases of primary pneumonia were notified during
the year. The number of deaths from all forms of pneumonia,
some of which are not notifiable, was 32, of which 18 were males
and 14 females.
Cerebro-Spinal Fever
Three cases occurred during 1945, and there was no death.
