total number of attendances of infants under one year was 8,245,
and of children between one and five years of age, 4,027.
At the end of the year there were 636 infants under one year
and 1,828 children between one and five years of age attending
the centres, making a total of 2,464 children attending, an increase
of 752 over the previous year.
The average attendance at each individual centre was:—
Cavendish Road 57.6
Meopham Road 44.0
Parish Room 61.1

The percentage of infants under one year of age attending
the centres was 79 per cent. of the total number of notified births.
Clinics for Toddlers
Special Clinics for Toddlers are held and have proved a great
success. The mothers have shown their great appreciation of
these clinics by their very regular and punctual attendance.
