Puerperal Fever
One case was notified during the year. The number of
notified cases of puerperal fever relate only to the first thirtynine
weeks of the year. Cases occurring afterwards are classed
as puerperal pyrexia and included accordingly.
Puerperal Pyrexia
Five cases were notified and two deaths recorded. Details
of these cases are given in the first section of this report.
Pneumonia
Thirty-two cases of primary pneumonia were notified during
the year. The number of deaths from all forms of pneumonia,
some of which are not notifiable, was 38.
