Housing Act, 1957, section 18
A basement room, the subject of a Closing Order, was found being used for human
habitation. Legal proceedings were taken against the person responsible and the
Court imposed a fine of £10 and costs totalling 5 guineas awarded to the Corporation
in respect of this and three further summonses against the same person.
