Commenting upon the unsatisfactory samples, the Public Control Officer makes the
following observations:-
"Milk. Milk supplied by a large dairy in a third of a pint bottle for consumption by
a scholar was found to contain part of a drinking straw. In subsequent investigations
it proved impossible to show at what stage the straw had got into the bottle and no
action was therefore taken against the supplier.
