Including Coronary Heart Disease, Angina, Thrombosis and Cerebral Vascular Lesions. In
many respects these are a consequence of natural ageing processes, although the recent increase
in coronary disease in relatively young men is causing much concern and has stimulated several
research programmes both in this country and abroad. As yet no one cause has been identified
but such factors as a high fat diet, lack of constant exercise, and prolonged mental concentration
seem to play their part.

During the past ten years there has been
a 50% increase in deaths attributed to
this disease.
