The following table shows the number of children who had completed a full course of Immunisation at any time up to 31st December, 1949:—

Scarlet Fever.
There were '251 cases of Scarlet Fever notified during 1949,a
reduction of 9 on the previous year's figure. 125 of these cases were
treated in hospital, the remainder being nursed at home. The
disease continued to be of a mild character, and no deaths from this
disease were recorded.
The following are amended diagnoses of certain cases originally
notified as- Scarlet Fever:—
Tonsillitis 7
Toxic Erythema 3
Measles 2
Gingivitis and Ulcerative Glossitis 1
Otitis Media 1
Rubella 1
Erythema Nodosum 1
