Factories.
Systematic and routine inspection of factories has been carried
out, and close collaboration maintained with H.M. Inspector of
Factories.
The question of sanitary accommodation has been referred to
elsewhere in this report, but emphasis must be given to the need for
close liaison between the two departments of the Corporation concerned—the
Borough Engineer's Department and the Public Health
Department. This can be achieved by adoption of the principle
that all plans deposited with the Corporation, where factories, etc.,
are concerned, should have the approval of the Health Department.
