The Annual Report of the Tottenham branch of the Invalid
Children's Aid Association was received. Their valuable help and
co-operation are much appreciated.
Convalescent treatment was arranged through the local Education
Authority for 127 children recommended by the School Medical
Service. These children were placed in suitable recognised homes,
as in previous years.
During the year, visits of inspection were paid to the following
homes, by one of the assistant medical officers, and the children
from this Borough were medically examined, and reports made to
the parents concerned:-
St. Catherine's Home, Ventnor.
St. Vincent's Home, Liphook.
The conditions were found to be very satisfactory, and the
opportunity afforded of meeting the staffs and discussing the progress
of the children were of considerable value.
INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
(a) Non-Notifiable.
The following table gives the monthly numbers of cases of nonnotifiable
infections occurring in the schools compiled from weekly
returns of Head Teachers—all these cases are visited in their homes
by School Nurses.
