Sanitary Conditions and Housing.
The repair of war damage continued to occupy a considerable
portion of the Sanitary Inspectors' time, but a full report of this
work since the commencement of the "blitz" period! in 1940 cannot,
for security reasons, be given at present.
The Health Committee have given continuous thought to the
housing situation in the Borough, and have expressed considerable
concern at the conditions arising from the acute shortage of suitable
accommodation available to meet the increasing needs of the District.
