Journeys to Suntrap School.—The Committee approved a scheme
for the use of Suntrap School for a series of School Journeys, and parties,
each consisting of 20 boys and two masters, were sent for a fortnight
from the following schools:—
Culvert, Lancasteriart, Page Green, Risley Avenue.
The boys were selected by the Head Teachers concerned from the
13-14 age group on the basis of their ability to profit by such a Journey.
The parents of each boy selected were asked to contribute a sum of five
shillings towards the cost, provided that no boy was prevented from
going through inability to pay.
The Committee allocated, in respect of each party undertaking the
Journey, a sum of £25 to cover the cost of transport to and from the
School, housing and feeding the children, and incidental expenses of the
masters in charge, and this was approved by the Board of Education.
All the Journeys were a success, and the Committee propose to
extend the scheme during 1939 to include as many as six parties, one or
two of which will consist of senior girls.

Tottenham and extend to all types of schools and to the promotion of
facilities for the physical education of members of Evening Institutes,
Keep-Fit Classes and voluntary associations.
(2) Provision of Gymnasia.—Two gymnasia, at Rowland Hill
School and Page Green School, were completed during the year; three
more are now in course of erection, and a sixth is shortly to be begun.
In the remaining senior schools, existing halls are being adapted, as
far as possible, for gymnastic purposes. In all senior schools, suitable
arrangements have been or are now being made for the storage of suitable
kit, and shower baths are being provided. In the two schools where
the gymnasia are now in occupation, suitable shoes and clothing have
