Health Department,
Town Hall,
Tottenham.
May, 1936.
To The Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors
of the Borough of Tottenham.
Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
1 have pleasure in submitting the Report for the year 1935 upon
the sanitary condition of Tottenham and the health of its inhabitants.
It will be noted that the population, as estimated by the Registrar
General, has declined by 2,384 in the past year. Since the 1931 Census
the declension amounts to 7,462.
Measures for the better housing of the population are being actively
pursued. A full statement of the housing conditions is contained in the
body of the Report.
Insofar as the administration of health measures is concerned, the
year has been singularly uneventful. Miss Lamb, who had given 24
years' faithful service to the Council, retired on account of ill-health on
September 30th.
I again express my gratitude to the Council and to all associated
with me in the Council's service for their generous support.
I am, Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
David ???
